Notes:

Amir Hamzah is one of great prophet companions as well as Prophet Muhammad's uncle. He came from Quraish tribe in Mecca. As many Quraish people did, he initially fought against Islam. Yet, in the following years, he became a well-known defender of Islam soon and followed the prophet to do hijra to Medina. He died in 60 in the time of Uhud war, killed by Wahsyi. Amir Hamzah was initially introduced through the Persian romance, Kissa-I Amir Hamzah, and transmitted to Pasai through India. It can be said that the romance was translated into Malay in the 15th century with many additions and introduced in the time of Portugish attack to Melacca kingdom in early 16th century.
